Welcome to the San Marcos Unitarian Universalist Fellowship!

SMUUF’s Donate the Plate for November is the Hill Country Women’s Health Collective (HCWHC)

According to Board member Marissa Fehler, their goal is to lift financial, language and racial barriers to health care, essential services and education for all women in our community by providing access to free and discounted health and mental health services and promoting women’s health and wellness through education.

Education & Support: Through partnerships at local libraries like the Wimberley Village Library, they offer classes and workshops that focus on women’s health and wellness, including childbirth classes, parenting groups, and various health and wellness workshops. Some smaller workshops and classes are held at our clinic.

Healthcare: At our free clinic, volunteer providers offer women’s healthcare and counseling at no cost or limited cost to those who are in need, including those who are not insured, under-insured, or undocumented. All are welcome!

Community: Our goal for 2026 is to increase awareness of the importance of women’s health in our local Hill Country communities. As in many rural areas there are great inequities in care across our region. We look forward to the hard work of community organizing and community-building. As they say, “think globally, act locally.”

We will welcome the HCWHC on Sunday, November 1 as the November Donate the Plate – thank you for your support!
