Though the “crone” is often portrayed as cranky, unpleasant, and a sometimes-dangerous woman, We will be exploring the archetype during Sunday’s service. With help from such sources as Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes, modern day witches, and remembered conversations with her own beloved grandmother, we will delve into the heart of the often overlooked “little old lady,” and how, when a woman fully embraces her inner crone, it can deepen both her relationship to the sacred but also her community.
