Theodicy is the high‑dollar word that describes the struggle to understand an omnipotent God who allows evil and bad things to exist. As UUs, we can get stuck insisting that any god must be a loving god and placing all the blame for bad things on other people and their bad choices. But other theologies take the struggle head‑on. What might happen if you yell at God until you are hoarse?
