Right now, the very word “equity” is a sore point, and using it can put individuals and institutions in the cross-hairs of the government. But we, being good old UUs, went and identified it as a core, shared value. But do we all understand what we mean by that word? Probably not yet. Are we ready to defend it when others attempt to demean the concept? Again, we have some work to do. Let’s go see what equity means to us, and what this says about who we are and who we hope to become.
