This sermon will feature a description of the role played in life by our mistakes. There are 15 different words for “mistake” in the Hebrew scriptures. Some mean “an archer missing the mark.” Others mean a serious violation of the Torah. Are mistakes just random events, some serious, some comical? What is a mistake, what can be learned from this experience, and where does our responsibility fit into the picture?
