Welcome to the San Marcos Unitarian Universalist Fellowship!

Join the International Convocation of U*U Women Gathering – July 8, 2025

Several years ago, when our ICUUW Tuesday zoom sessions were new, I was in a group with Melinda Simo. She is a Transylvanian Unitarian. We were talking about freedom. In her country, there was an oppressive government. She said, “My mind is always free. No one can take that away from me.” I realized then, how being with her expanded my understanding of the differences of women’s lives depending on where we live. I have, since that meeting, made it a priority to be at the Tuesday sessions because I learn so much from my sisters around the world. Every one of you impacts my life and changes me, as Melinda did.

For this Tuesday, I want to raise the topic of freedom again. What does freedom mean to us? In what way do we best use and express our freedom? What are there ways we are limited and how? For many of us, our governments are trying to limit our freedom as women and as citizens, how do we rise above these limits or resist? When have you felt most restricted or most free?

Hope to see you soon—

Rev Denise Tracy

Let’s get together and discuss our thoughts and feelings. We may be in different parts of the world, but we have many common experiences as women, gender-expansive individuals, and allies.

We will gather at 10:30 am Eastern Time in the US. Find your local time below.

The gathering will take place at 10:30 am Eastern U.S. & Canada.
