Find out more about how amazing chickens are. For example, chickens protect their young, recognize people, they dream, they have better color vision than humans, and they have a large array of sounds to communicate with each other. All creatures deserve fundamental respect, and the chicken is no exception. Our UU friend Kaitlyn said, “As a UU, I made a covenant to protect Earth and all beings from exploitation. Naturally, doing what is in my power to save chickens’ lives is my moral duty. I see my animal rights views as an extension of my religious practice.”
