Food Healers served Burrito Bowls and fruit on Monday, April 14th, at the Southside Center in San Marcos for food-insecure people. They loved it, and we loved them. Servers from SMUUF Food Healers in April were Lisa Cradit, Rebecca Allen, Rasmey Raymond, Judy Telford, and Barbara Jacobson. Several of the patrons asked about Unitarian Universalism and wanted more information about our religion and about how to visit.

On the second Monday of each month from 4:005:00 p.m., SMUUF Food Healers serve fruit and a main dish, using a recipe from the Universal Meals program, to people who are food-insecure.  Universal Meals recipes avoid the top nine food allergens in the US.  We have fun and are grateful to be able to provide this nourishing food.  Links to the recipes we use are included on the  Signup Genius page. Come join us at the Southside Community Center in San Marcos and help the community as well. For more information and to sign up, use this Signup Genius page or ask Lisa (lcradit@tlu.edu) to sign you up.  We love having more volunteers join us!  Our next serving opportunity is May 12th.
