Food Healers served Unity Stew and fruit on Monday March 10 at the Southside Center in San Marcos for people who are food-insecure. They loved it and we loved them. Servers from SMUUF Food Healers this week were Rasmey Raymond, Willow, Judy Telford, and Barbara Jacobson. Also pictured are JJ and James.
On the second Monday of each month from 4:00-5:00pm, SMUUF Food Healers serve fruit and a main dish, using a recipe from the Universal Meals program, to people who are food-insecure. Universal Meals recipes avoid the top nine food allergens in the US. We have fun and are grateful to be able to provide this nourishing food. Links to the recipes we use are included on the Signup Genius page. Come join us at the Southside Community Center in San Marcos and help the community as well.
For more information and to sign up using this Signup Genius page or ask Lisa (lcradit@tlu.edu) to sign you up. We love having more volunteers joining us! Our next serving opportunity is April 14.
