We have declared that LOVE is at the center of our shared values and we have a pretty flower-like graphic to illustrate this pretty sentiment. But what does it mean to hold LOVE at the center? Hearts and hugs and rainbow kittens? For the love of love, no. Strap on your helmets — this will be a love that challenges and changes us.
Rev. Nell Newton completed her ministerial internship at SMUUF in 2015 and has wandered far and wide since then. Most recently she served the church in San Antonio, but is now a free-range preacher. She lives in Austin with her family, three cats, a flock of chickens, and an overgrown garden.
