Members are invited to bring their ideas to the Board meetings held in the Fellowship Hall on the fourth Sunday of the month. Open discussion with the board is encouraged regarding concerns and suggestions for improvement to create positive change. Our recent successes include:
- We have contracted Rev. Nell Newton to provide part-time pastoral care in addition to her twice a month sermons
- Coordination with our newly created building committee
- Improved website
- Actively seeking a paid web administrator
- Support for our new pledge campaign
We ask that communication with the Board be respectful. Please address any email communications to board@smuuf.com to inform us of any issues requiring our attention rather than the personal email addresses of Board members. Do not send carbon copies of email interactions between members. Careful use of email will protect us from scammers and other harm to our fellowship.
Much has been accomplished and much remains to be done. Let us pledge again to offer each other love and compassion, to treat each other with respect, to offer positive advice and constructive criticism, and to always remember that we serve a common mission. Thanks to all who participate in our beloved community.
