Brooke Pillifant has a Masters in Mathematics and Sociology of New Religious Movements along with a doctorate in Complementary and Alternative medicine. While she lived in DC, she became active in social justice projects through UUCF. Additionally, she became a professional storyteller and has performed in venues from San Diego to New York City and everywhere in between. In her career, she has been developing learning curriculum for over 12 years ranging from public, private, and online schools to adult education in real estate, construction, and hospitality. In 2016, she merged her passions of education, storytelling, and social justice to found the non-profit, Rough Draft which helps bring a voice to the plight of incarcerated individuals. In her limited spare time, she waltz dances competitively, welds sculptures, travels as much as possible, and hangs out with her four amazing children and somewhat amazing dog.
