
Resistance is powerful and necessary to make changes in our world. We become stronger from challenges that we learn to resist. However, there are dangerous places along the path of resistance, including friction burns and energy wasted. Learning how to resist well and wisely is part of our work, lest we burn up, burn out, or – worse yet – lose our way along the path.
Rev. Nell Newton completed her ministerial internship at SMUUF in 2015 and has wandered far and wide since then. Most recently she served the church in San Antonio, but is now a free-range preacher. She lives in Austin with her family, three cats, a flock of chickens, and an overgrown garden.
