Pilgrimage in the Age of the Internet – Rev. Jaime Bouzard – July 28, 2024 at 1:00 pm

With robust wifi and a few apps, a pilgrimage may not be the burden (or blessing?) it once was, but can this spiritual practice common to many faith traditions still hold value? Pastor Jaime will reflect on these themes and pilgrimages in light of his own recent journey on the Camino de Santiago de Compostela in Spain.

Rev. James Bouzard is in his 16th year as director of Christ Chapel, a campus ministry in the Welcoming Church movement, supported by Lutherans and Episcopalians from around the country. He has served as a parish pastor for 20 years prior to working with college students and is married for the last 43 years to Gayle Gordon Bouzard, a professor in Texas State’s Department of Sociology. They have one son, Zane, who is a video creator and developer for Alamo Draft House. Besides his work, James enjoys gardening, playing the guitar, opera, boxing, cooking, and reading.
