General Assembly to Decide Article Amendments as to Racial Diversity

The General Assembly of the UUA is currently in process. One of the issues on which they will vote is the revision of UUA By-Law Article II. This will determine whether our collective articulation of Unitarian Universalism includes deeper language and concepts around racial diversity, an issue that was expressed in Paula Cole Jones’ efforts in support of the 8th Principle. The 8th Principle can be voluntarily accepted by each congregation, but Article II is set for all UU congregations. If you are interested in the wording of the principle and/or the article, please contact Carmen Rumbaut at (crumbaut@hotmail.com).
