Summer has begun, the Sun is celebrated, it shines its light everywhere. Beauty is very visible and as such we are invited to step outside by Summer and enjoy all of its offerings. However, the heat has begun reaching dangerous levels, more and more, gas prices rise, wars continue, and it seems like Summer is getting worse for many. However, all this aside, there is so much we can learn from Summer and be grateful for its offerings even if we prefer the comforts of indoor AC. Join Pablo Vazquez this Sunday to learn a history of the Summer Solstice and what we can learn from it in these days as Unitarian Universalists.
Pablo Vazquez is a scholar, theologian, lecturer, and aspiring UU minister currently finishing up their MDiv at Starr King. A resident of Texas for over 20 years now, Pablo enjoys movies, BBQ, travel, and preaching and is happy to join the San Marcos UU Fellowship to celebrate the Spring Equinox, one of Pablo’s favorite holidays.
