Welcome to the San Marcos Unitarian Universalist Fellowship!

Join SMUUF Food Healers on July 8th

Lisa Cradit, BJ Allen, Barbara Jacobson,  and  Willow Daumas (not pictured) and Anna (volunteer from Texas State) served Breezy Burrito Bowls and fruit to the patrons at the Southside Center in San Marcos this week.

Some comments from the patrons included: “I just wanted to make sure you know how much we appreciate you bringing this food.  Not all of this town is as bright and full of energy as what you bring for us.  Thank you.”  And “Thank you so much for bringing this home cooked meal. We really appreciate it.”

On the second Monday of each month from 4:00-5:00pm, SMUUF Food Healers serve fruit and a main dish, using a recipe from the Universal Meals program, to people who are food-insecure.  Universal Meals recipes avoid the top nine food allergens in the US.  We have fun and are grateful to be able to provide this nourishing food. Come join the fun and help the community as well. For more information and to sign up, click here or ask Lisa (lcradit@tlu.edu) to sign you up.  We can always use more volunteers!  Our next serving opportunity is July 8.
