SMUUF to Participate in Juneteenth Unity Walk on Saturday, June 15

SMUUF has historically participated in the local San Marcos Juneteenth Unity Walk and we will do so again this Saturday, June 15.  We’ll line up at the LBL MLK Crossroads Memorial at the intersection of LBJ Street and MLK Street at 8:30 a.m. in downtown San Marcos  Look for Joel and Laura Johnson, SMUUF On-Site Parade Managers, with our SMUUF banner.  The Unity Walk begins at 9:00 a.m. and will wind through the Dunbar neighborhood and wind up at the Willie Mae Mitchell Center, 715 Valley Street.  Children, bicycles, skate board, strollers, roller skates, and dogs on leachers are welcome.  Wear your yellow SMUUF t-shirt if you have it.  No need to register or reserve, just show up and join in the fun — and help demonstrate our support!  Contact Jeannie Lewis, Behind-the-Scenes Parade Organizer, for more information at jeannie@centurytel.net or (512) 353-2872
