“The Inherent Worth and Dignity of Every Person – I Mean – All Beings. – A New First Principle?” Rev. Brian FergusonUnitarian Universalism is a religion that challenges us to continually review our values, thinking, and beliefs to ensure they truly reflect our highest ideals. One area we are currently being asked to consider is expanding our first principle from the Inherent Worth and Dignity of Every Person to the Inherent Worth and Dignity of All Beings. This raises the question of how we should relate to non-human animals and the associated spiritual issues. This could be both a profound challenge and a significant source of spiritual exploration for us as individuals and as a religious movement. This worship service will explore what living into the principle of the Inherent Worth and Dignity of All Beings might mean for us.
